Our Featured "equines" for the month of August are our pair of mini donkeys, Mary Jane and Barbara! These two mini jennies are gentle and very affectionate. These girls came to OPEN several months ago suffering from years of neglect, they are now rehabilitated and ready for a new home!

These two girls need to stay together. They will keep kids busy all day long as they thrive on grooming and attention and they love children. They are very careful accepting treats. They are excellent with the farrier and trailering.

They will need someone willing to do a little managing of their care, but we are happy teach you what you will need to do to keep them healthy and happy!

We have a vision of building a 20 by 20 tack/western/horse themed store that matches our covered stalls (pictured here). This store will serve as an ongoing funding source to help support our mission of helping horses and their people and be stocked with donated items (we have tons of donated new and used tack and other items)

We have been collecting the materials to build and so far we have the metal roofing, steel corner posts and a stack of plywood for the flooring! We are still needing rafters, framing, siding and other materials. If you have building skills we would love to hear from you too! We are able to give tax deductible donation receipts and have been fundraising to buy materials as well we just need to stretch every dollar ♡ so gifts are greatly appreciated 💞💜💛!
